William Land Park is a park in Sacramento that is very versatile! There are a number of sites to see within the park like the Sacramento Zoo, Fairytale Town, an expansive golf course, and an amphitheater by the pond to name a few.
The verdant, lush grass that seemingly goes on forever is not the only reason why this place is so meaningful to me! The park was near my high school, so it feels like home to me and is quite nostalgia-inducing! My best friends and I would cruise through Land Park Drive and enjoy the long, scenic drive in the late afternoons. We spent many days having picnics by the baseball field. My best friend and I continue to drive by this park because it holds such a special place to our hearts.
I highly recommend, if you happen to stop by Sacramento, to drive by Land Park! It is especially beautiful in the Spring time by the pond near the amphitheater. If you don’t enjoy driving too much, I also highly recommend walking around the park and the best times to do so are in the fall and spring times.
